01 — The work

What a social media marketing agency should run for you

Most brands don’t need more posts. They need a channel that looks like the brand, ships on schedule and turns attention into enquiries, bookings and sales. This is what a monthly social media retainer with MK Digital covers.

Strategy and the monthly content calendar

We start from the business goal (covers, bookings, leads, sell-through) and work back to content pillars, formats and a posting rhythm. Each month you get a calendar with every post, Reel and story mapped to a date, a purpose and a caption, ready for your approval before anything goes live.

Content production by MKD Films

Photo and video come from our own production arm, not a stock library or a freelancer booked last week. Shoot days are planned from the calendar, so one day on set produces weeks of Reels, stills and ad variations. More on our video production in Manila.

Copywriting, design and motion

Captions in your brand’s voice (English, Taglish or Filipino where it fits), carousels, motion graphics and templates built on your brand system, so the feed stays consistent as volume goes up.

Community management

Comments and DMs handled within agreed response windows, with FAQs, escalation rules and a tone guide you sign off. Messages that look like sales are routed to your team fast, because in the Philippines a lot of business closes in the inbox.

Paid social, so good posts don’t stall

Organic reach alone rarely carries a launch. We put budget behind the posts that are already working and build dedicated ad creative for Meta and TikTok. See how we run Meta, Google and TikTok ads.

A monthly report on what moved the business, not just likes: reach and engagement by format, messages and leads, cost per result from paid, and what we are changing next month.

02 — One roof

Why content and media belong in the same room

Many social media agencies in the Philippines treat photo and video as an add-on, subcontracted shoot by shoot. That is where feeds go generic and campaigns go stale: the people making the content never see what the ad data says.

At MK Digital the editor sits next to the media buyer and the brief is written once. When a hook works in paid, the next shoot is planned around it. When a format stops working, it is gone from the calendar the following week.

  • One brief for strategy, shoot and media, with no hand-offs between three vendors.
  • Faster turnaround, because production never leaves the building.
  • A creative pipeline that stays ahead of spend, so ad accounts don’t run out of fresh creative.
  • One point of accountability for the whole channel.
03 — Platforms

Platforms we run

Instagram

The brand’s front window. Grid, Reels, stories and highlights that look like the brand and turn profile visits into DMs and bookings.

Facebook

Still where most Filipinos spend their time online. Community, events, Messenger enquiries and the audience base for Meta ads.

TikTok

Short-form, native-first content built around hooks and trends that suit the brand, plus TikTok ads when your audience is there.

Messenger & WhatsApp

Where a lot of Philippine sales actually close. We plan content and ads to start conversations, then hand qualified chats to your team.

04 — Industries

Built for F&B, hospitality, beauty, real estate and retail

We do our best work with founder-led brands where the product is visual and the experience is the sell.

Restaurants, bars & F&B

Openings, menu launches, guest-bartender nights and always-on feeds. See our restaurant marketing approach.

Hotels & hospitality

Content that sells the stay, the table and the view, aimed at domestic travellers and guests flying in.

Beauty & wellness

Salons, clinics and beauty brands: treatments explained, results shown properly, and booking-focused ads.

Real estate

Property stills, walkthrough films and listing content, paired with lead ads that qualify buyers before they reach your agents.

Retail & e-commerce

Product-led content and paid social that drive traffic to the store, the site or the marketplace listing.

Brands going global

Philippine brands expanding abroad and international brands entering the Philippines, with content that holds up in both markets.

05 — Process

How a retainer runs: the first 90 days

  1. Diagnose (weeks 1–2). We audit what you are running now (channels, content, spend, tracking) and agree the goal, the audience and what success looks like in numbers.
  2. Build (weeks 2–4). A social tone guide, content pillars, the first monthly calendar, the shoot plan and the ad account structure, all from one brief.
  3. Run (month 2). Content ships on the calendar, community management starts, and paid support goes behind the posts that earn it. Weekly check-ins, monthly report.
  4. Scale (month 3 onward). Cut what doesn’t work, double down on the formats and hooks that do, and plan the next shoot around the data.

Proposals land within about 48 hours of the first call, with scope, deliverables and timeline in writing.

06 — Cost

What social media management costs in the Philippines

Pricing varies more than most buyers expect, because “social media management” can mean anything from scheduling a few posts to running a full content and ads operation. Rate cards published by Metro Manila agencies in 2026 start at roughly ₱25,000–₱40,000 a month for posting-focused packages, while full-service retainers with production and paid media commonly run past ₱100,000 a month.

What drives the cost

  • Content volume and formats. Reels and video take more to make than static posts.
  • Production. Whether new photo and video are shot monthly, quarterly or not at all.
  • Platforms. Each extra platform adds planning, adaptation and community work.
  • Community management. Response windows, weekend coverage and message volume.
  • Paid social. Running ad campaigns is a separate job from organic posting.

Ad budget is separate

Ad spend is paid to the platforms and sits outside any agency fee. Budget for it on its own line, and factor in the 12% VAT that now applies to digital ad spend in the Philippines.

MK Digital scopes every retainer to the brief instead of selling fixed packages. Tell us what you need to move and we will come back with a proposal, usually within 48 hours.

07 — Choosing

How to choose a social media agency in the Philippines

  • Ask who makes the content. If photo and video are subcontracted, ask who shoots it and how often.
  • Ask for work in your category, and what it did for the business, not just how it looks.
  • Check who runs the ads. Organic and paid should share one plan and one report.
  • Get the scope in writing: posts per week, Reels per month, shoot days, platforms, response windows and revision rounds.
  • Ask what happens in the first 90 days. A good agency can walk you through it week by week.
  • Meet the people doing the work, not just the person selling it.
08 — Global

Outside the Philippines? We work across time zones

Manila runs on UTC+8: the same working day as Singapore and Hong Kong, a couple of hours behind Sydney, and overnight turnaround for London and New York. We work with international brands entering the Philippine market, and with brands abroad that want a dedicated creative and media team without building one in-house.

09 — FAQ

Social media marketing FAQs

How much does a social media marketing agency cost in the Philippines?

Most Metro Manila agencies charge a monthly retainer. Published packages start at roughly ₱25,000–₱40,000 a month for basic posting, and full-service retainers with production and paid media often run past ₱100,000 a month. MK Digital scopes each retainer to the brief and sends a proposal within about 48 hours of a call.

Is ad spend included in the retainer?

No. Ad budget is paid directly to Meta, TikTok or Google and is separate from the management fee, plus the 12% VAT that applies to digital ads in the Philippines.

Do you create the photos and videos yourselves?

Yes. MKD Films, our production arm, plans and shoots content for our social clients: photo, video, Reels and ad variations, with art direction, styling and editing in-house.

Which platforms do you manage?

Instagram, Facebook and TikTok for organic and paid, with Messenger and WhatsApp as the channels where enquiries close. Google and YouTube ads are run by our paid media team.

How long before we see results?

The first month is setup: audit, strategy, calendar and the first shoot. Most brands see content and engagement shift in month two, and clearer business results by month three, once paid and organic run from the same data. We agree the numbers we are aiming for up front.

Can a social media agency guarantee sales?

No honest agency can. What we commit to is the work (a scoped calendar, production, response times and a paid plan) and transparent reporting on what it did for enquiries, bookings and sales.

Do you work with brands outside the Philippines?

Yes. We work with brands entering the Philippine market and with international brands that outsource social media and production to our Manila team. We can quote and invoice in USD.

What do you need from us to get started?

Access to your social and ad accounts, your brand assets and guidelines if you have them, one point person for approvals, and an honest view of what is working today. We handle the rest in the first two weeks.
